Ah Chi Lok, similar to the game of Hide-And-Seek from the western world is usually played in a big group – the more the merrier! One player, the “it” will usually shut his eye and count to a number that is designated before the game begins. Once he or she has reached the number, “it” goes on a hunt. When “it” finds a player, that player will become “it” in the next round, but “it” continues searching for other players until all the players are found. The last person found doesn’t get any prize or reward but it is accepted that he or she has the best hiding spot. If “it” gives up, he or she can ask the players to come out of their hiding places and a new round will ensue with the same “it”, and the players may or may not choose the same hiding place.
